Eastern By-pass Barrier

Liberal Democrat Councillor Roz Smith, whose Barton and Churchill division contains part of the Eastern By-pass, welcomed the news that the County Council's Tory Cabinet is to consider installing a central barrier and speed limits on the bypass at it's meeting on 6th September. This comes after the terrible accident in May where four young boys were killed after the car they were travelling in crossed the central reservation. Roz said, "I urge the Cabinet strongly to agree to this, so that another dreadful accident like last May's does not happen again."
