Abingdon-Wootton Cycle Track in Doubt Again

This much-needed cycle track was at detailed design stage and local people were eagerly anticipating it being built. However, this has now been put in doubt - further work has been deferred and it is not clear when or if it will proceed.
Cllr Chris Wise, Lib Dem County Councillor for Wootton, said: "This is dreadful news. The Tory administration at County Hall have apparently reneged on a promise given 20 years ago. Perhaps, because the "war on the motorist" has stopped, they have felt the need to declare war on the cyclist?"
