Zoe Patrick
Cllr Zoé Patrick has become the new leader of the Liberal Democrats on the County Council, and Leader of the Opposition. Zoé takes over from Dermot Roaf who has led the group for four years.
Dermot said, "It has been a great experience leading the group, and I thank all my colleagues who have worked with me through the major changes we have seen on the County Council. But this is the second stint I have had as leader, and I am ready for a change. I am sure that Zoé will do an excellent job."
Zoé said, "It is a great privilege to be chosen to lead a group that is so full of highly talented people. I shall make sure that I will be doing my best to call the Cabinet to account on decisions affecting Oxfordshire."
Zoé is one of the two the County Councillors for Grove and Wantage. She was first elected in 2001.
Roz Smith was elected as Deputy Group Leader, and Deputy Leader of the Opposition. The Shadow Cabinet members were also elected - and the full list is:
