Concern over staff move - letter to Oxford Times

Many of us are already aware of the very real and understandable staff concerns over the proposed move to a site in Cowley (County Council Plan to Move Staff out of City, Oxford Times 25th August 2006).
I would like your readers to note that Liberal Democrat councillors have been raising these matters with the Tory administration and key officers on a number of occasions. We will continue to watch the "grand plan" for shared services as more details become available to us and will ensure all issues of concern are taken up as necessary.
All changes can cause disruption, but we need to be careful that change is for the benefit of the whole council and will make for better and more efficient services for Oxfordshire residents.
