The County Council election count has finished.
The state of the parties is
Con 52 (up 8)
Lib Dem 10 (down 5)
Labour 9 (up 1)
Green 2 (down 3)
Ind 1 (down 1)
The Conservatives took 4 seats from Labour - two in Banbury and two in Didcot South - and four from the Lib Dems - Wootton, Kennington & Radley, Abingdon East and Abingdon North.
Labour took one seat from the Lib Dems (one in Headington & Marston, 2 member division - the Lib Dems held the other seat) and 3 seats from the Greens (one in Isis & one in East Oxford, both 2 member divisions - the Greens held the other two seats - and one in West Central, where the Lib Dems held the second seat).
The Lib Dems remain the official opposition. They held: Chalgrove, Grove & Wantage (2 in 2 member division), Hinksey & Wytham, one seat in West Central, Wheatley, Summertown & Wolvercote (2 in 2 member division), one in Barton & Churchill (2 member division) and one in Headington & Marston (2 member division).
